Welcome bulletin
Dear ECTS, Mentors and Induction Tutors,
We hope that this finds you well and having enjoyed a well-deserved break over the summer. We are very much looking forward to continuing to work with you over the following year as we welcome you onto the second year of the Early Career Framework (ECF) programme with ourselves at Xavier Teaching School Hub.
As we embark on the beginning of the term please find attached the following documents and essential reads. We hope that the attached will provide you with a clear overview of the next fortnight and in turn the year ahead.
- Welcome bulletin: answering your questions about the Year 2 ECF programme and setting out expectations for the next fortnight and the year ahead
- Template for your initial mentor meeting: to use in your first mentor meeting between now and Monday 19th September
- Relevant Teach First handbooks for ECTs, mentors or induction tutors for the year (zipped folder).
- The dates for all of the face to face seminars for the year as previously sent back in July (zipped folder).
We have a new team member, Kay McGregor, joining us and overseeing the mentor training for Year 2. Our current mentor training dates are:

Seminar 1 will have been covered in your induction training (please see details in the welcome bulletin). However Kay will run a Q and A session in the early term for any mentors, but especially those new to their roles. We will confirm the date of this session in the coming week.
We are sure you understand that as the year progresses some of the information/dates in this email may change. We try to avoid this as much as possible but will update you of any changes with as much notice as possible and through our weekly bulletins.
