Week 20
Dear ECTs, mentors and induction leads,
Please find attached the Year 1 Week 20 bulletin (for the week commencing Monday 20th February). As the bulletin says, Week 20 is a ‘buffer’ week, when there is no required self-study or observation. This has been put into your timetable as a result of feedback from last year’s ECTs. We have suggested that it is an ideal time for ECTs and mentors to perhaps undertake a learning walk together, or for ECTs to have the opportunity to observe a colleague.
May we draw your attention to the FREE additional CPD on offer, information about the Maths Hub and the link to the induction lead training in March. The free additional CPD is open to all ECTs and mentors on our ECF programme. This is part of the enhanced provision offered by the Xavier Teaching School Hub, so please do reserve your place using the link in the bulletin.
Virtual drop-in clinics
After half-term we will be trialling virtual drop-in clinics, open to ECTs, mentors and induction leads. These will be designated times when members of the ECF team will be available online to answer any questions or take feedback. The first clinics have been scheduled to take place on Thursday 23rd February. We have scheduled two timeslots, at times which we felt might be especially accessible for you:
