Week 29
Dear Year 1 ECTs, mentors and induction tutors,
We hope you have all been enjoying the four-day weeks this month brings. Please find attached the bulletin for week 29, the week commencing 8th May.
There are a few key points to be aware of:
ECTs…. You said, we listened….
Some ECTs have expressed their need for additional support with behaviour management so there are some additional and optional workshops available for all ECTs in May. The EYFS /Primary session will be on the 11th May and the Secondary focus is planned for the 25th May (TBC) all details can be found in the bulletin attached.
Important information regarding attendance
As a hub, we work hard to organise the ECT seminars over the week to maximise attendance. As you are aware attendance is a requirement of the programme and we will always endeavour to ensure you have the seminar dates in good time and offer alternatives if you are unable to attend your usual cohort. If you have any issues attending a session please email our new Xavier attendance email: ecfattendance@xaviercet.org.uk and one of our team will contact you with either a seminar recording or an alternative date. Thank you.
Mentors
All details for the mentor training are found in this week’s bulletin with the log-ins. This week’s session is focused on managing difficult conversations, an area of high demand from our mentors. Please ensure you attend one of the five sessions available to you as this attendance release the DfE funding to your school.
Induction tutors
Please share the information regarding Maths Hubs within your school as appropriate.
We will be changing our registration processes with our hub to ensure the most efficient and streamlined system is in place for schools. Please find enclosed initial information on how to register your ECTs for September with us.
Kind regards,
The Xavier ECF Team
