The Department for Education offers professional development and support to help schools develop their leadership, staff and curriculum, so that they can improve their results and performance.
Approved training, support and funding is available to help improve teaching, leadership and governance.

The Maths Hub
The Maths Hubs Programme, coordinated by the NCETM, has been transforming mathematics education for ten years. Over the past decade, it has brought together maths experts and teachers in a collaborative national network of 40 hubs, each locally led by an outstanding school or college, to develop and share excellent practice for the benefit of all pupils and students. The English Hub
Funded by the Department for Education, the English Hubs Programme (EHP)1 was established in 2018, with 34 Hubs selected for their expertise in teaching early reading. These hubs work with selected schools in their surrounding area to help them provide excellent teaching in phonics and early reading. To find your nearest English Hub please click here.
STEM Learning Hub
The STEM Learning network supports a vision to achieve a world-leading STEM education for every young person across the UK.
The Network is made up of the National STEM Learning Centre in York, our partners in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland - providing locally available professional development through SSERC, and Deliberate Learning, STEM Ambassadors Partners in the UK, Computing hubs in England that provide local support for teachers in primary and secondary schools in their area and Enrichment Partnerships in the UK. Behaviour Hubs
The Behaviour Hubs programme supports school leaders by helping them to create calm, safe and supportive environments – with pupils in schools and ready to learn. Funded by the Department for Education, Behaviour Hubs has helped more than 650 schools and multi-academy trusts across all provisions to make sustainable and impactful changes to their behaviour culture.
