Xavier Teaching School Hub

Teach SouthEast SCITT Team

Graham Jones: Teach SouthEast Deputy Director

I have over 22 years experience as a science teacher and leader within secondary schools across Hampshire and Sussex. For over 5 years now I have been the Director of Bosco Teacher Training which has afforded me the privilege of helping to develop teachers in the early years of their careers. In more recent years, I have been leading teacher training and development in partnership with Teach South East’s Sussex Hub. I am now working more closely with Xavier and Teach South East as their interim Deputy Director, helping to lead the primary and secondary SCITT programme.

Claire Brown: Teach SouthEast Recruitment Manager

I have been working in the education sector for 18 years; the past 8 years have been with Teach SouthEast.  As Teach SouthEast Recruitment Manager, I am the first point of contact for people who are considering a career in teaching. The best part of my role is watching the transition from potential trainees into confident teachers; in many cases I can recall the first conversation I had with the then potential trainee discussing their desire to train to teach.   I am also privileged to be a pastoral coach which enables me to provide ongoing support to a selection of trainees during their first year of teaching.
